Happy Global Surveyors Day. 21 March was celebrated around the world. Hosted by APPAT, the Pan American Association of Surveying and Topography Professionals, two enlightening sessions were organized alongside numerous regional, national, and local events, all dedicated to recognizing and applauding the surveying profession.
Another celebreation of the profession will take place in Accra, Ghana at the FIG Working Week 2024. Have a sneak peak into the plenary sessions that set the scene of each of the three conference days and which will deliver strategic insights and food-for-thought by the best experts from around the world. The plenary sessions deliver a unique spotlight on Africa, hereunder a special panel discussion on Governance Connectivity Challenges and the Positive Impacts of Technology, with esteemed Paramount Chiefs/traditional leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa.

Plan Your Trip

The Working Week will take place at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and on the premises there are both conference facilities, accommodation, large green areas that will be used by the conference, taking advantage of the good Africa weather.

There are accommodation options close to the venue in various price ranges and shuttle buses will take attendees to the conference centre in the morning and back again in the evening.

Survey on qualitative and quantitative insights into perceptions of digital technologies and digitally-enabled processe

The joint FIG Working Group 7.6 / 8.4 of Commission 7 (Cadastre and Land Management) and Commission 8 (Spatial Planning and Development) on Digital Transformation and Integration of Land Administration and Land Use Planning / Land Management would like to invite you to participate in a survey. This survey aims to gather qualitative and quantitative insights into perceptions of digital technologies and digitally-enabled processes in your field of work. It will be of great value in informing the work of our working group and will only take 20 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until 26 May 2024 and the results will be presented at upcoming FIG events and disseminated via the relevant newsletters.
