At the Closing Ceremony of FIG Working Week 2023 in Orlando, Florida, the organisers from Ghana, led by Honourable Benito Owusu Bioh, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources accompanied by Honourable Manu Adabor, Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Forestry received the FIG flag to mark the upcoming Working Week in Accra, Ghana 19-24 May 2024.

The FIG General Assembly, at its meeting held at the 2017 Working Week in Helsinki, Finland, elected Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana and Ghana Institution of Surveyors to be the local hosts for the FIG Working Week in 2021 which due to the global pandemic situation was changed to 2024. The Ghanaian Associations are experienced professionals and great hosts as they successfully organized the FIG Regional Conference in 2006.
